Obywatele Polski nie potrzebują aktualnie wiz turystycznych, by odwiedzić Kanadę, jednak 15 marca 2016 roku Kanada wprowadziła dla podróżujących (nie tylko z Polski) obowiązek posiadania eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation – elektroniczna autoryzacja podróży). Obowiązek ten spoczywa na osobach, które podróżują drogą lotniczą; podróżujący do Kanady drogą morską lub lądową eTA nie potrzebują. Otrzymanie eTA jest procesem krótkim i odbywa się drogą internetową. Important information

• The consulate has the right to refuse a visa, change the requested number of entries, change the visa validity period without giving a reason.
• The visa processing time is given on working days of the consulate.
• Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required for travel to Canada only by air.
• During the application, you may be asked for additional documents, eg a medical certificate.
• Ultimately, the border service will decide about the entry and length of stay in Canada, which upon arrival will ask you for documents (eTa and passport) and ask a few questions.

1. Visas to Canada are no longer needed, why do you have them on the website?
Visas to Canada are no longer required, but there is a different entry requirement for Polish citizens, so-called eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization). For most of our clients, eTA is associated with a visa.

2. What is the eTA to Canada and how long is it valid?
eTA, or Electronic Travel Authorization, is a kind of entry requirement to Canada, which should be carried by persons crossing the Canada border by air. The eTA is valid for five years or until the passport expires.

3. Is it possible to extend the eTA in a new passport?
Unfortunately, no, eTA is assigned to the passport number. So if you receive a new passport, you must apply again for a new eTA document.

4. How long does it take to develop an eTA for tourism?
Producing a document usually lasts from 1 to 3 days. Sometimes eTA is available after a few minutes and sometimes after 3 days.

5. Do I need to print a confirmation of my eTA receipt?
There is no such obligation, but it is better to print out just in case. Your journey will be based on the passport you provided when applying for eTA. It is assigned electronically to this passport.
